The project centers on the development of a digital, European university campus that prepares students, academics, and university staff for the key challenges of the future. Topics such as social justice, sustainability, and digital change will be specifically promoted. The close involvement of more than 50 partners from business, politics, and culture is also intended to create sustainable cooperation between universities and practice.
In addition to THI, eight other universities from all over Europe are involved, including institutions from Austria, Lithuania, Portugal, and Spain. This geographical and cultural diversity emphasizes the international character of ACE²EU. On the THI side, the International Office (IO), the Centre of Entrepreneurship (CoE), the Research and Transfer Office, and the university management under the responsibility of Professor Daniel Großmann, Vice President of Research, are responsible for the project.
An initial highlight was the kick-off meeting in December 2024 on the campus of the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid. Representatives from all partner universities exchanged views on the planned activities, toured the campus, and took part in a cultural program. Delegates from the participating institutions and the university management were present on behalf of THI.
With ACE²EU, THI is not only sending a strong signal for its international networking but also for its responsibility to prepare students and employees for a globalized and digital world. The project also strengthens the university's position as an innovative center of education and research.
